The National Marine Aquarium approached Bluestone360 looking to develop a new website that would position them as the premier aquarium in the UK and raise the profile of the organisation’s conservation efforts on a national and international level.
We began the project by conducting a company-wide information audit, consolidating information and conducting investigative research into the user experience on the existing website. The result was a refined, purpose-built and responsive website that simplified the user experience and showcased the marine conservation and education work the Aquarium does through beautiful photography and engaging written content. All content was SEO optimised to maximise SERP coverage and the website was specifically designed to make it easy for all staff to add their own posts and articles.
As a result, the Aquarium has seen a rise in the number of unique website visitors and social media referrals, increased organic search visibility, time spent on the website, and a decrease in bounce rate.
